Did you know that there are little tricks to cooking that everyone should know? Well there is, here is just a few and if you have anymore ideas please comment:*If you over salt a dish (like a soup) peal a potato and put the whole potato in your dish for a while, it will absorb the extra salt. Then just throw the potato away and no one will ever know.
*Want your water to boil faster? Just add salt...Also if you're boiling eggs add salt to the water it will help the shells come off easier and wont damage the egg.
*If you're cooking pasta add olive oil to the water, it will keep the water from boiling over.
*If you're putting a rub on meat, let it sit for at least a half an hour...it tastes so much better.
*Feel like a cry baby when you cut onions? Well light a candle; the fumes the onion releases will burn off from the flame on the candle before it reaches your eyes.
*Best steak marinade ever is just olive oil, salt and pepper...don't forget to let it sit for a half an hour.
*When you're making homemade lasagna, prep your pasta first. Take a casserole dish and fill it up with water. Place your pasta in the water and let it sit, then prep everything else. When you get back to your pasta it will be soft, wont stick and wont burn your fingers.
